Meet every mob you'll bump into — spot the friendly ones, dodge the mean ones, and learn how to handle the bosses!
A gentle farm animal that gives you leather and beef for food.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Hit it 2-3 times with any sword — it won't fight back, so it's safe to hunt.
COMMON DROPS
A pink pal that drops porkchops and can be ridden with a saddle.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Easy to take down with a couple of hits — it just runs away, no danger.
COMMON DROPS
Tiny bird that lays eggs and drops feathers for arrows.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
It flutters around fast — chase it into a corner or build a small pen to catch them easily.
COMMON DROPS
Fluffy pal that gives wool — shear it instead of killing it!
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Use shears to grab wool, then it eats grass and regrows it. No need to fight.
COMMON DROPS
A friendly villager you can trade with for cool gear and books.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Never attack villagers — they're super useful! Protect them from zombies at night.
COMMON DROPS
Wild dog that becomes your best friend if you feed it bones.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Feed bones to tame it, but never hit a wild wolf — the whole pack will chase you down!
COMMON DROPS
Tiny buzzing bee that makes honey and pollinates your crops.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Don't hit the hive or the bees — they'll sting and lose their stinger (and die). Use a campfire to safely collect honey.
COMMON DROPS
Tall dark creature that only attacks if you look it in the eyes.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Don't stare at its face! If it gets mad, build a 2-block-tall wall — it's too tall to reach you underneath.
COMMON DROPS
Big iron protector of villages that crushes hostile mobs.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
It defends villagers, so keep it friendly. If you must fight one, trap it in a 3-block pillar and hit from above.
COMMON DROPS
Slow green monster that comes out at night and burns in daylight.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Hit, back up, hit again. Stand behind a door or wall and wait for sunrise — they burn up fast.
COMMON DROPS
Bony archer that shoots arrows from far away and burns in the sun.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Charge it fast and zig-zag so its arrows miss, then get close for melee hits.
COMMON DROPS
Silent green exploding monster — the most famous danger in the game!
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Hit it, then back away fast before it hisses. Use a shield to block the blast, or shoot it from far away.
COMMON DROPS
Eight-legged climber that only hunts you at night or in dark caves.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
It can climb walls! Build an overhang on your roof so it can't sneak in. Hit fast before it jumps.
COMMON DROPS
Potion-throwing hag that poisons you and slows you down.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Drink milk to clear poison, then rush in close — it's weak up close but deadly at range.
COMMON DROPS
Nether pig-people that attack unless you wear a piece of gold armor.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Always wear one gold item in the Nether to keep them calm — then you can trade with them!
COMMON DROPS
The final boss of the game — a giant dragon guarding The End.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Destroy the End Crystals on top of the obsidian pillars first, then hit it when it perches on the bedrock portal.
COMMON DROPS
A flying skull boss you summon yourself — it blasts everything around it.
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Fight it in a wide open area (NOT underground) and use a bow — it flies too high for swords most of the time.
COMMON DROPS
A blind giant in the Deep Dark that hunts by sound — it can kill you in one hit!
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
Sneak the whole time and don't trigger the sculk sensors. You're not meant to fight it — just grab the loot and run!
COMMON DROPS
These three mobs are the toughest in the game. Read up before you fight — prep is everything!
GEAR NEEDED
Full diamond or netherite armor, a bow with lots of arrows, a sword, food, and a water bucket.
ARENA TIPS
Clear the area around the bedrock portal so you can move freely. Note where the End Crystals are before you start.
STRATEGY
Shoot the crystals on the pillars first (some are caged — build up to them). Once they're all gone, hit the dragon with your sword each time it lands on the portal.
GEAR NEEDED
Full diamond or netherite armor with Protection, a bow, a sharp sword, golden apples, and milk to clear the Wither effect.
ARENA TIPS
Summon it in a wide flat area or in a tunnel you've carved — a small tunnel keeps it from flying away and makes it easy to hit.
STRATEGY
Shoot arrows while it flies (the blue skull phase), then switch to your sword when it drops low and charges. Eat golden apples to heal through the Wither damage.
GEAR NEEDED
You don't really 'fight' the Warden — just wear good armor in case, and bring blocks to wall yourself off.
ARENA TIPS
Don't make an arena. The Deep Dark is its home. Sneak everywhere and stay quiet so you don't summon it at all.
STRATEGY
If you do summon it, sneak away silently — don't run, don't throw, don't break blocks. It can one-shot most players, so escaping is always smarter than fighting.
Boss fights are tough — it's totally okay to come back later with better gear. Practice makes a master builder!
