Step-by-Step
1Build a long hall with stalls
Build a long wooden hall. Along one wall, make small 2×2 stalls separated by plank walls, each with a door so villagers stay put. Leave a path down the middle so you can walk past them all.
2Add beds, lecterns & workstations
In each stall, place a bed and a workstation — a lectern turns a villager into a librarian who sells enchanted books. Put a lantern above each stall so it stays bright and safe.
3Lure in villagers & start trading
Lead villagers (or a boat) into each stall and shut the door. They'll link to their bed and workstation, then you can trade with them. Break and replace the lectern to reroll their trades until you get the book you want!
★ Pro tip: To get the best enchanted books, keep breaking and replacing the villager's lectern until they offer the enchantment you want — then lock it in by trading once.
