Want a base that monsters can't easily reach? Build it in a tree! This guide shows you how to turn a tall oak into a leafy treehouse with platforms, a ladder, and a tiny room to call your own. Great for survival and looks awesome too.

Step-by-Step
1Find a tall tree & build the platform
Find the tallest oak tree you can. Build a ladder up the trunk, then lay a 5×5 wood plank platform around the top. Add railings (or leaves) around the edge so you don't fall off.
2Raise the walls & roof
Stack planks 3 blocks high around the platform, leaving a gap for the door. Use leaves and wood for a leafy roof that blends into the tree canopy — monsters won't even know you're there.
3Furnish your leafy hideout
Add a bed, crafting table, furnace, and a chest inside. Pop glass windows through the leaves and place torches around the branches. You now have a secret treehouse base!
★ Pro tip: Build your treehouse at least 10 blocks up — creepers can't climb ladders, so you'll be totally safe at night.
